Company Profile

In the early 1970’s Bill and JoAnn Filthaut decided to form a cabinet shop called Filthaut’s Cabinet Shop, Inc.  In a 3000 square foot barn on their property they produced everything from kitchen cabinetry to beauty shop stations to speaker consoles.  As the business grew and technology advanced they decided to start investing in automated equipment.  No longer would the “barn” be big enough to hold this growing business.

In 1995 Bill and JoAnn decided to refocus their efforts into component manufacturing.  That year Filthaut’s Cabinet Shop became JB Cutting, Inc.  With the same owners, the introduction of their children, Debbie and BJ, and a renovation of equipment and software JB Cutting advanced.  By 1996 JB Cutting recognized a need in the local market for thermoformed doors.  That same year a Shaw Almex press was purchased.

JB Cutting continues to grow at a steady pace in the component industry.  We strive to bring our customers quality innovative products at a fair price by investing in technology and new processes.  As the second generation advances, we realize the need for change in this perpetually expanding and competitive market.  As we grow and change, we are committed to provide the same quality, knowledge of cabinet making and total customer satisfaction for generations to come.
